Andrew Batey builds where technology, capital, music, and culture collide.He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Beatdapp, a global leader in music-streaming fraud detection, helping digital platforms, labels, distributors, and rights organizations protect royalty pools and ensure legitimate artists are paid. Across a 15-plus-year career, Andrew has raised more than $150 million for his companies, filed over 40 patents spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and data infrastructure, and founded or scaled businesses through several major waves of technological change.Before Beatdapp, Andrew served as CMO of Spinlister, the global peer-to-peer marketplace known as the “Airbnb for bikes,” and as a managing partner at Cross Coast Group during the early rise of social media and digital brand building.Today, as Founder and General Partner of Side Door Ventures, Andrew leads a global venture platform spanning 14 funds and more than 200 investments across aerospace, defense, artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology, fintech, logistics, media, and consumer technology. His portfolio includes early investments in companies working to define some of the most consequential industries of the next generation.Andrew’s work has never fit neatly into a single category. He and his wife, Kim, own Mocama Brewing Company on Amelia Island, where they stepped in to preserve and rebuild a beloved local business. He is also launching Slow Burn Records, an artist-first music label focused on developing distinctive artists and building lasting careers.As a member of the music collective Urban Outlaws, Andrew reached No. 4 on the U.S. Country Music Singles chart in April 2022 and earned placement on Spotify’s Wild Country playlist.
